Thing of the Week

So, I am kind of skipping over Christmas and the New Year. But it was all wonderful. I got lovely red pots and pans from John. And the best thing ever from my cousin Sydney.Apparently, she stalked my blog looking for ideas. She is seriously the greatest ever - love you Syd!

Anyway, so I saw this and thought I would try it out - posting my favorite thing every week, not something big, just something random I am currently obsessed with. And this week's current obsession is Crisco cooking spray with flour!
Yeah, it sounds crazy, but this stuff is amazing. Banana bread, bundt cakes, anything with no sticking to the pan. And it's quick - just spray and you're done. No greasing and flouring. I love it!

O Christmas Tree

After several mishaps in getting our Christmas decorations from John's parents' basement, we finally put up our tree last week. I am so excited to finally have decorations up. Normally I have them up by the start of December. It finally feels like Christmas time now.

John even put up with listening to Christmas music while we decorated, making it seem even more like the Season. I say we, but really I decorated while John and Princess laid on the couch. John has been so sick, but he was really a good sport in saying "Good" whenever I asked him how something looked.

The tree is decorated in Cinderella - lots of blue and silver and lots of Cinderella ornaments. I have been collecting them for years.

Princess seems to like the tree and luckily hasn't tried to pull anything off of it.

I realize John looks slightly high in this pic - remember he was really sick and tired.

Princess the Black Nosed Reindeer

Since Princess loves to dress up, my mom bought her the cutest reindeer outfit for Christmas. She was a little hesitant at first since it covers her ears. But if you pull it back off her head, she loves it. She wore it to our family Christmas party last weekend and was a major hit.
