- John and I managed to go to high school together but not know each other. We met and dated while working together during college, but still didn't manage to get it together then. Nine years after first meeting, we finally tied the knot on September 6, 2007. Both avid Democrats and way into politics, we live in downtown Salt Lake City. I work as a political consultant, and John is going back to school to be a history teacher. Or a researcher. Or a professor. We like concerts, plays, symphonies, dinner parties, movies - basically anything indoors, which for John includes an obsession with XBox 360 and BluRay, and for me, reading and cooking. The highlight of our lives is, by far, our Pomeranian, Princess. We are so those people whose dog is their baby. Princess is 3 1/2 years old, weighs 3 1/2 pounds, and is totally spoiled and girly. She even likes to play dress up.
